Home is Where You Are by TESSA MARINE

Tessa Marie | English | September 30, 2014 | ASIN: B00MRCDQ0K | 237 pages| 5,6 mb

Home Is Where You Are was an amazingly beautiful, touching story. Its heartfelt, sexy, and inspirational. I LOVED Dean and Anna! These two love birds made the perfect young couple. Counting on each other, and just so emotionally wrapped around one another. I didn't think the synopsis really fit the book. It was somehow....less then what I expected and, honestly, I am glad for it. I loved how this book came together. Its wonderfully written with a compelling storyline and characters that just added more... umph to the story.

Dean is a young man who ran away from an abusive situation. He has been living on the street for some time and he works where he can to make some money while he searches for his long lost sister. I found Dean to be an extremely great character. He is beyond good looking, caring, determined, and so very smart. Anna is the follow-the-rules type of gal. She volunteers all over the place, from Habitat for Humanity, to volunteering at the local soup kitchen as she sends out college applications. That is where she meets Dean and soon she is breaking her own rules to get to know him.

The Witch's Boy - English Novel by Kelly Barnhill

Algonquin Young Readers | English | September 16, 2014 | ISBN: 161620351X | 384 pages | 7,6 mb

THE WITCH'S BOY is a lovely book. Ned and Áine are both hugely likeable in different ways. Ned has had to struggle with himself his whole life, and struggling with an external force for once (magic) helps him gain better control of himself.

Áine is super practical (it bears mentioning again), but hurt by her father abandoning her for greed. She's cold and reluctant to trust, but a good person to have on one's side. I quite enjoyed that their parents were a crucial part of the story. Ned's father and Áine's mother aren't mentioned much, but do have actual personalities. The Bandit King and Sister Witch are much bigger figures. Especially Sister Witch, whose moment of weakness sets most of the plot in motion. (But how could she let her other child die too?)

Applying UML and Patterns - Third Edition by Craig Larman

What does it mean to have a good object design? This book is a tool to help developers and students learn core skills in object-oriented analysis and design (OOA/D). These skills are essential for the creation of well-designed, robust, and maintainable software using object technologies and languages such as Java, C++, Smalltalk, and C#.
The proverb "owning a hammer doesn't make one an architect" is especially true with respect to object technology. Knowing an object-oriented language (such as Java) is a necessary but insufficient first step to create object systems. Knowing how to "think in objects" is also critical.

This is an introduction to OOA/D while applying the Unified Modeling Language (UML), patterns, and the Unified Process. It is not meant as an advanced text; it emphasizes mastery of the fundamentals, such as how to assign responsibilities to objects, frequently used UML notation, and common design patterns. At the same time, primarily in later chapters, the material progresses to a few intermediate-level topics, such as framework design
.
